what is a good all around lens for a Canon Rebel Eos Digital?
what is a good all around lens for a canon Rebel Eos digital 28/135 or something smaller also what is a good macro lens choice
the Canon EF 28-135mm 3.5 IS is an excellent all around lens. In fact, it is my favorite of the lenses I have. The macro on the 28-135mm is adequate, but not more. If I had a little more in my camera fund, I would have bought the 24-105mm 3.5 “L” IS lens.
If I were to go out and buy a dedicated macro tomorrow, I would get the Canon EF 100mm 2.8. A little more $$ and I would get the Canon EF 180mm 2.8L …
On a tight budget, you could get the Canon EF 50mm 1.8 and use extension tubes with it. I bought a set of the Canon EF extension tubes, both the 12 and the 25, the Auto Focus works perfectly with both EF and EF-S lenses (these are the only extension tubes which work with the EF-S lenses).
