Nikon D50 with Zoom Lens and method angle.Best range of measures to take pictures w / out flash? Go on a dolphin cruise?
Tonight I dolphins going on a cruise. I wonder what camera settings must be turned on. I have a Nikon D50 with the two included Wide Angle lens and a zoom. What values should be in my camera? How can I get good action photos. This is not black, but the lighting of my being a little weak. I would like the Most dolphins photos without flash .. How do I do this without blurring? All that would be very helpful, thank you! Forget the wide angle and focus on tele-zoom. The zoom is best. I'll presumed long zoom and is 200 mm or 300 mm at the long end. I recently went on a small boat to see the marine life offshore and captured some images of Nice otters and sea lions with a 400mm. The problem with the dolphins (I missed a lot) are not "ask" as a park Marine and are constantly in motion. Try to anticipate which will surface and shoot rapidfire, hoping to seize the moment in one or more of them. Learn to prepare, hold the camera and glasses, and observe the movement of the boat. Practice standing with one leg behind the other, This reduces the vertical movement of the camera. Recommend move to ISO 800 or less, then using the software after noise reduction.
