Can I have an air filter performance?
I bought an air filter performance, and asked that this may damage my engine? And light is lit, which is linked to the engine, is this normal? Should I put the original? Thank you "Honda Civic LX Coupe 02"
An air filter performance should not damage the engine of any kind whatsoever, unless, indeed, done a bit of dirt road driving, it would role of stock / foam air filter. Performance air filters, as you noticed, and more air into the engine, creating more power and better fuel performance. It is allowed to occur, which makes the pores larger filter, allowing more air to pass. Larger pores also much debris. In general, a performance air filter should be fine. Regarding the light, I suppose it is a Check Engine Light (CEL). The LSC, which has been activated by the O2 sensor, which regulates the amount of oxygen, fuel consumption and Carbon dioxide is emitted by the exhaust. In your vehicle, there may be two (usually in the exhaust manifold, converter or catalytic exhaust pipe itself.) It is very likely that the O2 sensor (which is probably what triggered the CEL) is a reading less carbon dioxide and oxygen too close to its combustion chambers. This can be solved easily. But just to be safe, make your car check with an OBD2 code reader to know exactly what is the problem.
